Interview with Brad Feld
Co-Founder of Interliant (formerly Sage Networks)

This month we post one from Brad Feld [Former Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Sage Networks, now known as Interliant.] Interliant was a major player in the hosting consolidation seen over the past few years and continues to focus on high-end business needs. Mr. Feld is presently a Managing Director at MobiusVC and holds dual-degrees from MIT. We hope you enjoy this historic interview.
Our first question, was with respect to the integration of the various businesses Sage has acquired to this point in time. It appears that Sage is rapidly progressing towards a Sage branded service. "We are in the process of creating one company with several brands…customers will gradually migrate to the new brand. They will be receiving more than they are presently offered, " Feld said.
As a consolidation leader, HostIndex.com wanted to learn whether Sage foresees any problems as it follows their present acquisition strategy. Feld mentioned, "We have smart people spending plenty of energy in each case, building a strong back end side and customer support infrastructure coupled with multiple product offerings." We get the understanding that while cautious in his approach, Feld is confident that his management team can bring together a leading company and hosting service.
